Visit from the German Consul

The German Consul, Dr. Andreas Zimmer, came over from Edinburgh to speak to us at our last meeting on 8th November. He told us about the work of the Consulate, and about his long and varied career which has included postings in Indonesia, Eritrea, Poland, New York and Atlanta, and in Berlin. We then spent so long chatting over the Stollen and Lebkuchen there was no time for our business meeting. We were also pleased to welcome four of our local councillors who came to meet him.
