The first meeting of our new session will be on Tuesday, 13th October at 7 p.m. in the Lounge, Falkirk Trinity Church, FK1 1JN. Anyone interested in Germany and/or the Odenwald will be very welcome. We will be giving an illustrated talk about our visit to the Odenwald at the end of June, which turned out to be the hottest weather in Germany since records began. Despite that, we had a great time being shown round the area by friends and members of the Schottland Vereinigung, taking part in a concert in Fränkisch-Crumbach, and a European Festival in Groß-Umstadt. Three of us travelled by train there and back using Interrail passes, which was an adventure in itself. Here are a few photos from the weekend, for more great pictures, come along to the meeting.
