Our Chair, Gray Allan, was pleased and surprised to be presented with the German-British Friendship Award by German Ambassador to the UK, Susanne Baumann at a lunch on Monday, 10th November. This was at Howie’s in Edinburgh, and was hosted by the German Consul General, Christiane Hullmann. As he was allowed to invite three guests, he was accompanied by Isabella, Walter and Anne. In his acceptance speech, Gray pointed out that the Award didn’t just belong to him but was for all the members over the years who have worked hard to keep the twinning link going for fifty years.
