Odenwald Association 50th Anniversary Celebrations

Detlef Kuhn and his partner, Claudia, Martina Emmerich and her family, Franziska and Torsten Löw, and Gudrun Eder came over from the Odenwald for our 50th Anniversary. We celebrated the German Unity Day (Friday, October 3rd) at the Rock Bottom pub in Falkirk with the Tonkerers playing for us, and had an exhibition in the Falkirk Delivers office on the Saturday. Unfortunately, the monthly Producers market had to be cancelled due to high winds so we had to shelve our plans for an Odenwald stall and two other stalls selling German produce, but we all enjoyed the ceilidh in the evening at the Venue in Airth. The Jenkins dancers and the Falkirk Junior Gaelic Choir entertained us before our ceilidh band, Cockleroy, got us all up dancing. Our local MP, Euan Stainbank, attended all three events. Thanks to all who helped in any way with this weekend.
