OA Summer Outing

Twelve of us sailed to Inchcolm Island in the Firth of Forth for our summer outing in June. We set off at 1 p.m. on the Forth Belle from Port Edgar with Forth Boat Tours, sailing under the bridges in fairly calm waters, though it was a bit breezy. At least it was dry. We spent about an hour and a half on the island exploring the fascinating ruins of the Abbey, birdwatching (avoiding the nesting gulls), and enjoying an ice cream from the well-stocked shop. The Forth Belle arrived back in plenty of time to collect us and brought us back to Port Edgar by about 5 p.m. A good day out.
